This simple hummus recipe uses the flavours of cumin, garlic, lemon and olive oil.
2 cups of chickpeas (pre-cooked or canned)
½ cup of sesame tahini
2 tablespoons of cumin
1 large clove of garlic
Juice from one lemon
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Up to ½ cup of water
If you want a smooth hummus, use a blender. If you want a chunky hummus, try using a masher.
1. Blend 2 cups of chickpeas, water and olive oil until smooth or combined.
2. Add remaining ingredients to the mixture.
3. Taste as you go to get the right combination for you eg. extra spices, garlic, chickpeas or water.
