I’m not a big breakfast fan so this smoothie is enough to keep me going until morning tea. Unripe bananas are less acidic as they have about 25% starch and only 1% sugar. Ripe bananas are more acidic as they have around 20% sugar. So I buy my bananas slightly green, peal them, chop them up and freeze them.
1-2 cups of soy milk (I like Bonsoy or Australia’s Own Organic Malt Free)
1 frozen or fresh banana
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of LSA (Linseed, Sunflower seeds, Almonds)
1 teaspoon of honey
Add the ingredients and blend in a mixer. Add extra cinnamon or sweetener to meet your taste.
