Snacking on Pappadums

Ahh the joy of pappadums, those morsels of crispy goodness. Pappadums are thin, lentil crackers normally served to accompany Indian meals. I like pappadums smothered in my favourite dips or filled with curry and rice. But I regularly eat a pappadum all by itself, munch munch munch.

The best news is that pappadums are not acidic if you microwave them, as there is no deep frying or oil involved. I microwave my mini pappadums (3 on a plate) for 40 seconds. Some people don’t like using a microwave but it’s times like this when I love hearing beeeeeeeeep.

The inventor of pappadums. Shukriya.
