Tamari Almonds

Tamari almonds are my favourite hiking snack. I think it’s the combination of the saltiness of the tamari and the sweetness of the almonds.

400g raw almonds (or nuts of your choice)
1/4 cup tamari (Japanese wheat-free soy sauce)

1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
2. Place almonds on prepared tray. Drizzle over tamari and toss to coat. Arrange in a single layer and bake for 15 minutes, tossing every 5 minutes, or until tamari has evaporated.
3. Cool on tray before storing in an airtight container in a cool dark place. Enjoy at your leisure!
