Bento Box Dining

Note:
I think I might be in love with an inanimate object… my new bento box!

I have been hunting the Internet for a decent and reasonably priced bento box but not even eBay was coming up trumps. But last week I got lucky and found a supplier in Melbourne called Katachiware http://www.katachiware.com.au/ (and just in case you’re wondering, I’m not paid by anyone to promote any product, I just like to mention companies that I think provide a good product/service).

My husband and I bought a large melamine Kodona Bento Box – Black and Red Traditional – for $30 each (see photo above). The boxes were delivered by courier within 2 days and arrived in immaculate condition. Hooray!

You would’ve probably realised by now how much I love Japanese food. I often make a Japanese tasty plate (click here for more information) for dinner.  So I am experiencing great joy having a bento box to divide up the dishes. It is so easy to whip up a few simple vego dishes, a small salad and some rice/noodles. If you make larger serves, you’ve got tomorrow’s lunch/dinner organised too. Bento boxes aren’t just limited to Japanese cuisine and could also include an Italian theme, a Moroccan theme, an Indian theme… the skies the limit! So go on and get yourself one, you won’t regret it!

Kudos:
Thank you Katachiware for making our bento dining dreams come true 🙂
