Strawberry Sauce

This strawberry sauce is perfect on pancakes. This recipe makes about 1 cup of sauce.

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of strawberries, thinly sliced
1/4 cup of water
2 tablespoons of caster sugar or sweetener

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.
Place the strawberries and sugar in a saucepan.

2. Turn your stove on to medium heat. Heat the saucepan until the sugar begins to melt and caramelise, and the strawberries begin to soften and release their juice.
3. Add the water to the saucepan and continue cooking for a few minutes until the strawberries are soft and a sauce has formed.
4. Leave the sauce chunky or blend to make it smooth.

Keep in fridge in a clean and airtight container for up to a week.
