Cooking for the People You Love

I just adore cooking a big lunch for the people I love. It’s my way of saying, “I care about you. Thanks for being so awesome”.

My parents have given my husband and I so much support in the past 18 months. They’ve given love and cuddles during a bit of a rough time and they’ve spent many devoted hours helping us do up our new home (especially the garden).

So it was my pleasure to cook an Indian lunch banquet for them recently, which included:

Red Lentil Dahl
Beetroot and Sweet Potato Coconut Curry
Fresh Minty Salad
A big bowl of Pappadums

Nothing says “I love you”, “Thank you” or “You amaze me” like a delicious home-cooked meal.
