Roibos, Lemon and Mint Tea

Rooibos tea is South African red-bush tea that is caffeine free tea. This recipe is a great Winter warmer or as a refreshing ice tea in Summer.

WINTER WARMER

INGREDIENTS:
Enough boiled water to fill your jug or large tea pot

1 dessertspoon of looseleaf or 2 tea bags of rooibos tea 
1/2 a lemon, sliced into rounds
1 generous handful of fresh mint
2 teaspoons of honey / sweetener (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Boil water.

2. Fill a heat-proof jug or large tea pot with the boiling water.
3. Add the rooibos tea, lemon slices, mint and honey/sweetener to the hot water. Stir.
4. Let sit for 5 minutes to release the flavour from the ingredients.
5. Serve and drink.

SUMMER COOLER

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of boiled water

Enough cold water to fill your jug or teapot
1 dessertspoon of looseleaf or 2 tea bags of rooibos tea 
1/2 a lemon, sliced into rounds
1 generous handful of fresh mint
2 teaspoons of honey / sweetener (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Boil water.

2. Add boiled water to heat-proof jug or large tea pot.
3. Add the rooibos tea, lemon slices, mint and honey/sweetener to the hot water. Stir.
4. Let sit for 5 minutes to release the flavour from the ingredients.
5. Add the cold water and chill in the fridge if needed.
6. Serve and drink.
